The Zündapp KS750 was a heavy military motorcycle with a sidecar developed during World War II for transport, communication, and reconnaissance tasks. Thanks to its robust construction and excellent off-road performance, this vehicle was widely used under diverse and often extreme conditions.
The motorcycle was used from the beginning of the war on various fronts and was known for its reliability and stability. The sidecar provided space for an additional crew member and could be equipped with a machine gun, making the vehicle also suitable for escort duties and light combat roles. Due to its strong off-road capability, the vehicle could operate on muddy roads, sand, and snow, where fast mobility was essential.
Technically, the vehicle was equipped with a 751 cc twin-cylinder boxer engine with an output of approximately 26 hp. The drive was connected to both the rear wheel and the sidecar wheel, ensuring excellent traction in difficult terrain. The top speed was about 95 km/h. The sturdy construction and relatively simple technology made the vehicle reliable and suitable for long-term deployment, although the lack of protection made the crew vulnerable.
