Dear enthusiast,
New at De Liefhebberij: volume discount of up to 10%.
Short summary:
From October 1st, we are introducing our new volume discount. Combine model kits and products from the Materials & Tools category and receive up to 10% discount.
Lately, we have been looking for a way for De Liefhebberij to distinguish itself in the market without losing sight of the service, freedom of choice, and possibilities for our enthusiasts.
Various ideas crossed our minds. We considered a points system, fixed member discounts, personal discount codes, pre-composed value bundles, and periodic promotions.
Ultimately, we chose a system that offers immediate benefit and aligns with how model builders put together their projects. No points that first need to be saved up for a long time, and no fixed bundles that dictate what you must buy.
That is why we are introducing our new volume discount.
How the volume discount works
-
2 model kits: 5% discount
-
3 model kits: 7% discount
-
4 or more model kits: 10% discount
The maximum discount is 10%.
Materials & Tools count towards it
Every full €40 on products from the Materials & Tools category counts as one extra step. Think of paint, glue, tools, and other workbench supplies.
When the total within this category is lower than €40, this product group does not count and no discount is calculated on it.
Calculation example
With 1 model kit and €100 of Materials & Tools, two full amounts of €40 count as two extra steps. Together with the model kit, you reach three steps and receive a 7% discount.
With this setup, our enthusiasts retain the freedom to put together their own projects, while the benefit grows along with what they need for them.
We will see what this choice means in practice for you and for us. This discount structure therefore remains under development. The conditions, threshold amounts, and discount percentages may be adjusted later.
De Liefhebberij also reserves the right to temporarily pause the volume discount or to permanently discontinue the entire discount promotion. Already completed orders in which the discount is stated in the order confirmation will remain unchanged.
The volume discount will be active from October 1st.
